Prayer at St Andrew's

"REJOICE ALWAYS, PRAY CONTINUALLY, GIVE THANKS IN ALL CIRCUMSTANCES

FOR THIS IS GOD’S WILL FOR YOU IN CHRIST JESUS"

1 Thessalonians 5:16-18

Praying for our Community

St Andrew's is praying for each road in the parish of St Andrew Westcliff within the ward of Westborough. We begin praying for a road at our Sunday service prayers and continue to pray in our own homes throughout the week, at other church services and prayer meetings. This week of 21st January 2024 we are praying for the residents and businesses and life of BRIGHTWELL AVENUE Please join us in prayer in your home, workplace and/or services at St Andrews.

Dedicated Chapel for Prayer

Whilst everyone is free to pray anywhere within St Andrew's Church Centre, whenever it is open, we have a chapel within the main church building that is dedicated to prayer. It is especially quiet and peaceful. You can pray alone or with others. At the entrance of the chapel, you can light a candle if it is helpful to you. There is also an open book where you can write topics/requests for prayer and indeed thanksgivings for answered prayers!

Prayer Meetings

Prayer is central to worship in our lives as Christians and to our worship together.

We meet specifically to pray and be inspired for prayer by reading from the Bible on Wednesday mornings at 9am until 9:45am.

We meet via ZOOM each Wednesday at 6:30pm -7:15pm to pray for the life of St Andrew's church and the life and well-being of the community in which we are set.

Every Sunday Morning at 9:50am before our 10am service, several folk meet in the chapel to commit our service, our worship, the gift of the new day and the community in which we are set, to the sustaining grace of God. All are welcome to join and swell the numbers.
